Sri Sukta Sahasravartan Parayan Sri MahaLakshmi Yagya 
Jai MahaLakshmi ki Jai!
Dear Friends,
We are pleased to announce that
we completed a very successful MahaLakshmi Yagya on Sunday,
January 11. The Sri Sukta Sahasravartan Parayan Sri
MahaLakshmi Yagya exceeded our expectations. The group went
beyond the goal of 1016 repetitions of the Sri Sukta, as we
doubled our numbers to 2065 repetitions of the Sri Sukta.
Pt. Dhruv Sharma was very happy and fulfilled with the
results of this yagya. We want to thank all of those who
committed to chanting, those who helped set up and the
sponsors of this special yagya. Throughout the weekend
everyone experienced the warmth, radiance, unity and love of
Divine Mother.
Friday evening began with a
wonderful puja and abhishekam to MahaLakshmi and we began
chanting. The altar was magical and had a sarvatobadra
mandala made of colored rice.
  A lovely yantra was painted on the floor of the room. One person sat by each of the 8 points of the yantra to chant and then others sat around them to chant. This happened throughout the weekend.  On Saturday evening Pt. Sharma led us in the Lakshmi Sahasranam. Sunday evening was the beautiful fire ceremony, where the group chanted 16 times the Sri Suktam, plus mantras to Ganesha, the 9 planets, and healing mantras. Our top chanter, Billy, gets top honors with 156 repetitions and his wife, 145. The next person recited 124 times and another was 118 times. Two men both recited 109 times. I chanted 94 times, which was more than I expected. Many others contributed to our reaching 2065 repetitions. Congratulations to all!
